Mickey and Minnie

So I have been really bad about updating the blog lately! The girls are doing great, and acting just the way toddlers are supposed to behave. Just a few short weeks from turning 2, we have seen the tantrums emerging (especially from Miss Addison)So far her favorite tantrum move is to run in place as she repeats, “No, No, No!” This is followed by falling to the ground and sitting on her behind.  Emma’s preferred method of defiance is to scream at the top of her lungs. Emma’s tantrums are much shorter. Emma really does not get angry much. She’ll just ignore you if she doesn’t like what you are saying. Both have spent their fair share in time-out at school and home. I think I will stop asking how their day was at school because one of them has typically been to the time-out chair. I’m probably painting a horrible picture of the girls. I’ll just phrase it like their teacher tells me, “They are both very headstrong.” They are also very loving, particularly to each other.  They have a lot of energy that has to be released or their going to get  into mischief.

Potty training is going to wait another month. I took them to their dr. for a flu shot and she said they just aren’t ready yet.  This doctor has twins too and said to me, “As a mother and a medical professional, do not make yourself crazy with potty training. When they are ready it will take very little time to get it done.” I’m going to take that advice and try again in a month.

We got rid of the pacifiers or “boppies” as A and E like to call them. We had a few rough days, but they have finally stopped asking for them. They are still taking a long time to fall asleep during naps.In fact, Emma has not napped at all today!

That’s all that’s been going on around here. The girls will have a little Halloween parade at school in their super cute costumes! Can't wait to see that soon!

Addison is Minnie Mouse and Emma is Mickey

This is Addison trying out the Mickey costume. Obviously Minnie was a better option for her!

Emma had to try on Minnie as well. She's checking herself out in the mirror!

Emma

Addison joined her as we tried our hardest to get a picture of the two of them.

And here is the scene that shortly followed that attempt. Brian does not like pillowcase dresses!
Emma the week before "boppies" were taken away.

This is Emma's reaction to me taking the "boppie" from her!

Clapping as she gets it back!

Addison trying to swipe my cherry coke!

  1. They are SO cute! LOVE those costumes! My girls are nearing 3 and we still haven't even attempted potty training yet!
