Emma left, Addison right
Addison and Emma are 16 months old. I realize that is still such a young age, but I feel like my babies are growing up so fast. It seems like every day they do or say something that amazes me.
Addison is so detailed oriented. We recently had our house re-piped (we had a major leak) and some of the walls had to be patched. We haven’t painted yet. Addison likes to walk around and point to all the spots that are bare. She says, “Uh, Oh!!” about 20 times in a row. She also prides herself in pointing out where the dog poop is in the backyard so mommy can shovel it up. Addison has recently turned into a climber too. She climbs on tables, chairs, couches, beds, etc. It scares the heck out of me. She fell out of a shopping cart trying to climb over the side to grab a lady’s purse. She did a summersault in the air and landed on her back. It was very scary, but thankfully she was ok.

Emma continues to be carefree and open to new situations and people. She will let most people hold her, smiles and says hi to strangers, and generally “goes with the flow”. Emma talks a lot, repeats things like a parrot, and LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (Yes, I let them watch TV). Emma also learned to make a donkey sound when she visited the in-law’s farm. It’s hilarious! Emma is still smaller than Addison, although I don’t know by exactly how much. I think a couple pounds and about 1 inch in height.

Both A and E love books, being outside, getting dirty, and going “ridey, ridey” on anything that can be ridden including the dog, rocking horse, rocking chair, our backs, and the bikes. Addison and Emma are rambunctious toddlers. There is rarely any downtime. They continue to have challenges with taking a decent nap, but are great nighttime sleepers. Both still eat wonderfully and are willing to try new foods. Brian and I are so thankful for our little girls!
(Note: I still do not have my camera battery. Still trying to decide if I want to get a new camera or buy the battery, which is half the price of the camera. That's why blog updates have been so infrequent lately!)
They are SO precious! I LOVE that first pic of them!! I can remember 16 months so well because that's when we left for Montana for 3 months! My family didn't see them that entire time and by the time we got home, they had changed so much! (And their feet grew two sizes!) It gets more fun each day!
ReplyDeleteBoy are they growing! They'll be two before you know it! So precious
ReplyDeleteThey are getting so big!! How adorable. I'm loving the story about Addison pointing out the bare spots on the wall - too funny!!
ReplyDeleteThe girls are so adorable. I can't believe I haven't seen them in person in so long. Jeff and I and Ben too of course, need to plan a spring time trip to Florida!! Hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteYikes, she fell out of a cart? That is scary! I say get a new camera. You will be so glad you did! I really want a fancy camera that takes a million shots per minute so I can capture at least one good one. We loved seeing y'all last weekend!
