MOSH

I took Addison and Emma to the Museum of Science and History here in Jacksonville this week after they got over their Strep throat. We had been cooped up in the house for several days and I really needed to get them out to play. Iwant to buy an annual pass to this place because I have never seen them more excited! I think they might be a little nerdy like their mom and dad because they were so into learning and exploring all the exhibits. Addison was a little bit scared of the human body exhibit and the dinosaurs. Emma absolutely loved every single thing she saw and was able to touch (and the things she was not allowed to touch since I had to fetch her from underneath railings and blocked off areas several times). They even sat through a 30 min. planetarium show. By far the planetarium and the native reptile and birds exhibit was their favorite. I didn’t get any pictures in the planetarium because cameras had to be turned off. It was funny because they’re so small they didn’t fit in the reclining seats. The seats folded like movie theatre seats and their little legs just pointed straight in the air. Of course Emma made this into a game and kept pushing her legs up and down. Both ended up in my lap. When the planetarium show was over Emma kept saying, “Mommy, we go back to that dark room?” Later she told Brian, “Daddy, I want to take you to that dark room. It will be so fun!” Addison wanted to pick up all the snakes, lizards, and frogs she found in the reptile room. (Side note: This girl has a serious passion for catching frogs. Emma will catch them too, but Addison is borderline obsessive about this activity. We have so many small frogs that have hatched from the pond behind our house. So there are tons for her to play with each day.) Back to the museum, I was so happy to take the girls without the stroller and feel pretty confident they were not going to run from me. It makes things so much easier to not have to lug that big stroller around! We will definitely go back to the MOSH!

Conversation went something like this..Addison: "Oh, look Emma! Which one is your favorite?" Emma: "I don't know!"

OMG! Look at that dinosaur head. Emma started climbing in that part shortly after this photo.

Amazingly they left their hairbows in the whole time! Too busy to think about pulling them out. As soon as we got in car they were gone!

Look how long their hair is getting! I just cut it a month ago.

Took a Little Blog Break

There is not really a great reason for me taking such a long break between posts. I just really haven’t felt like blogging. Since we moved the girls to toddler beds naptime has been a challenge. Some days they nap, some days they don’t. Naptime was my blog time. I’m too tired by the time they fall asleep, which is now close to 9 PM every night. I just have not wanted to use the blog for time to complain. With that said, I am not going to discuss potty training on this post! So, putting a fresh foot forward, here are some photos to share. More to come soon!

Tea Parties! This is Emma.

Here she goes! I knew I kept those shoes for something.

Addison LOVES dress up time. She puts my boots on almost everyday. One is brown, one is black but who cares!

Why yes mommy I will pose for the camera..."Cheese!"

Addison holding a sand castle casualty. Poor crab was hit by the shovel.

Time to bury the crab. Only for a moment though. Addison carried the dead crab around the entire time we were there. She only let it go because it broke in half.

Addison did let Emma hold the crab for a couple minutes.
