Better Late Than Never

I realize this post is overdue. It has taken me a while to get caught up with everyday tasks since we traveled so much over the holidays. We had a great time with both sides of the family. We did spend Christmas Day and New Year’s in our home too. It was great to see the girls’ reaction to what Santa Claus brought them! Here are some photos of Christmas at home and with my side of the family.

One of their favorite gifts from Grandma and Grandpa

 Addison loves these slippers too.

I’m going to publicly announce my New Year’s resolutions this year. I don’t know any better way to hold myself to it than saying it to all my friends and family. 1.) I plan to lose 15 pounds this year and keep it off. 2.) De-clutter the house and keep it that way.  I put it out there so it is okay for you to ask how it’s going!

Oh What Fun!

My nephew, Grady, turned 3 a few days ago, and we were fortunate enough to be able to make the trip over to Pensacola to celebrate with him. Grady is such a sweet little boy, and honestly a lot of fun to be around. (I say it like that because sometimes toddlers are not fun to be around!) He had a fun, farm-themed party and Emma and Addison LOVED it!

Grady is always down for giving the cousins a ride.

Grady was a little frustrated here. The battery was low and the girls were making him go slow! Thankfully The Whites are prepared with a backup battery!

Daddy showing Emma how to drive. Her legs are not quite long enough to reach the peddle.

Emma does not know how to steer!

And here she goes into the fence.

They had to wear their labeled Minnie Mouse shirts since no one in the family can tell them apart.

We also had the privilege of welcoming home our brother-in-law, Beau, from a year long deployment away from his family. We are so grateful that he made it home safely, and we are very proud of his dedication to our country! It takes a strong person and support system to make it through a long overseas deployment. My sister-in-law, Katie, handled it with grace and did a wonderful job with my niece, Anna Cross, while Beau was in Egypt.  We are so glad you are all back together and able to celebrate Christmas together!
